Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 August 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of Subs Compiler, an Android application published by Manzil Studio.
By installing, accessing, or using Subs Compiler, you agree to these Terms and to the Subs Compiler Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Subs Compiler does
Subs Compiler helps users detect, add, organize, and track subscriptions and recurring-payment commitments.
Current features may include:
- Scan Mail using user-authorized Gmail readonly access;
- Upload Files for supported statement files or selected Gmail attachments;
- Manual Add;
- subscription details, categories, reminders, and dashboard totals;
- paid Lite and Pro features;
- Pro Auto Scan Mail;
- in-app Support Chat.
Subs Compiler is a tracking and organization tool. It is not:
- a bank;
- a payment processor;
- a financial adviser;
- an investment service;
- a subscription-cancellation service for third-party merchants;
- a guarantee that every subscription, renewal, payment, cancellation, or charge will be detected.
You remain responsible for reviewing your actual merchant, bank, card, and Google Play records and for managing your financial obligations.
2. Account and Google sign-in
A Subs Compiler account uses Firebase Authentication with Google sign-in.
You are responsible for:
- maintaining control of your Google account and device;
- using accurate account information;
- notifying Manzil Studio if you believe your account is being misused.
Google sign-in to Subs Compiler is separate from Gmail authorization.
3. Gmail authorization
Features that read Gmail require separate, explicit Gmail OAuth authorization.
Subs Compiler currently requests the readonly Gmail scope needed to inspect relevant message content and settings for supported user-facing features.
You may revoke Gmail access through Google account controls, and Auto Scan Gmail connections may also be disconnected from within Subs Compiler where available.
If Gmail authorization expires, is revoked, becomes invalid, or is restricted by Google, Gmail-dependent features may stop working until authorization is restored.
4. User files and imported data
When you select a statement file or Gmail statement attachment, you confirm that you have the right to use that file with the app.
You are responsible for reviewing detected transactions before saving them.
Do not use Subs Compiler to process content unlawfully or content you are not authorized to access.
5. Accuracy of detection
Subs Compiler uses deterministic parsing, source evidence, duplicate rules, and backend validation to identify likely subscription/payment commitments.
Detection may still be incomplete or incorrect because of:
- merchant wording changes;
- incomplete email or statement evidence;
- unsupported formats;
- network or API failures;
- date/currency ambiguity;
- duplicate or unusual billing behavior;
- changes made by merchants after the app last detected a record.
A record shown in Subs Compiler should not be treated as a substitute for the merchant's, bank's, card issuer's, or Google Play's official records.
6. Free, Lite, and Pro plans
Subs Compiler currently offers Free, Lite, and Pro plan levels.
Feature limits, included benefits, and current prices are displayed in the app and/or Google Play before purchase. Manzil Studio may update plan limits, features, or pricing for future billing periods where permitted, subject to Google Play requirements and applicable law.
The backend remains the authority for plan status, usage limits, billing-cycle state, and feature eligibility.
7. Google Play subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing.
By purchasing a paid plan, you also agree to the applicable Google Play payment and subscription terms.
Important points:
- the price and billing frequency shown by Google Play at checkout govern the purchase;
- paid subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled;
- cancelling generally stops future renewal while paid access may continue until the end of the current paid period, subject to Google Play rules and applicable law;
- uninstalling Subs Compiler does not cancel a Google Play subscription;
- deleting a Subs Compiler app account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription;
- users must manage or cancel Google Play subscriptions through Google Play;
- refunds are governed by Google Play policies, Manzil Studio's applicable refund decisions, and mandatory consumer law.
Subs Compiler may verify purchases with Google Play before granting or continuing paid entitlement.
8. Upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, and entitlement
Google Play and Subs Compiler may need to verify an existing purchase before starting a new checkout.
An active purchase may be restored instead of charged again.
Plan replacement timing can differ between an upgrade and a downgrade according to Google Play subscription behavior and the product configuration in effect at the time.
A cancelled subscription may remain entitled until its verified paid expiry date.
A refunded, revoked, expired, replaced, invalid, or ownership-conflicting purchase may lose entitlement.
9. Auto Scan Mail
Auto Scan Mail is a Pro feature.
To use Auto Scan, you must:
- have an eligible active Pro account;
- explicitly connect Gmail;
- provide the required Gmail readonly authorization;
- save and activate a valid schedule;
- remain within applicable plan/quota limits.
Auto Scan uses backend scheduling and may run while the app is closed.
Scheduled execution is not guaranteed to be exact in every circumstance. Service-provider outages, revoked Gmail access, invalid credentials, quota limits, network failures, Google/Firebase service changes, or other technical conditions may delay or prevent a run.
You remain responsible for checking your actual subscriptions and payment obligations.
10. Support Chat
Support Chat lets signed-in users send messages to Manzil Studio Support.
Messages you intentionally send may be stored so the conversation can be displayed and answered asynchronously.
Do not send:
- Google or Subs Compiler passwords;
- one-time passwords or authentication codes;
- full payment-card numbers;
- bank passwords;
- Gmail OAuth tokens;
- other highly sensitive information that is not necessary for support.
Support Chat is not an emergency service and does not guarantee an immediate response.
Manzil Studio may remove abusive, unlawful, malicious, or irrelevant support content and may restrict misuse of the support system.
11. Notifications
Subs Compiler may provide local reminders and, when enabled/available, push or email notifications for supported features.
Notifications are provided for convenience only. Device settings, operating-system restrictions, network conditions, permission settings, service-provider behavior, or app state may prevent delivery.
You should not rely on a Subs Compiler notification as the only method of remembering a payment, renewal, cancellation, or financial deadline.
12. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of information and content you provide to Subs Compiler.
You grant Manzil Studio only the limited rights necessary to process that information to:
- operate the app;
- provide requested features;
- save and synchronize your records;
- process Support Chat messages;
- provide notifications;
- protect and secure the service;
- comply with applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms grants Manzil Studio ownership of your Gmail messages, statements, subscription records, or Support Chat content.
13. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Subs Compiler for unlawful activity;
- attempt to access another user's account or data;
- abuse Google, Firebase, Gmail, Google Play, or other connected services;
- bypass plan limits, entitlement checks, App Check, security controls, or purchase verification;
- interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, attack, or disrupt the service except where a right cannot lawfully be restricted;
- use automated means to abuse the app or backend;
- use multiple accounts or installations to circumvent Free-plan or quota restrictions;
- submit malicious code or abusive content through Support Chat.
Manzil Studio may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, third-party platforms, or legal compliance.
14. Third-party services
Subs Compiler depends on third-party services including Google, Firebase, Google Cloud, Gmail API, and Google Play.
Those services are governed by their own terms, policies, technical limits, and availability.
Manzil Studio is not responsible for changes or outages in third-party services that are outside its reasonable control, although reasonable efforts may be made to maintain compatibility.
15. Privacy
Use of Subs Compiler is also governed by the Subs Compiler Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains the app's handling of account data, Gmail access, statement imports, Google Play billing information, Support Chat, notifications, security data, retention, and account deletion.
16. Account deletion
You may delete your Subs Compiler account through:
Settings → Privacy | Data → Delete Account
Account deletion removes the normal app account and associated account-owned data according to the Privacy Policy, subject to limited legitimate retention for security, fraud prevention, payments, disputes, or legal obligations.
Deleting your Subs Compiler account does not cancel an active Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription separately through Google Play if you do not want future renewal.
17. Clear Subscription Data
Clear Subscription Data is different from Delete Account.
It removes saved subscription records and local category organization but may leave the account, authentication, billing state, Auto Scan setup, and Support Chat data in place.
18. Intellectual property
Subs Compiler, its original software, branding, UI, documentation, and Manzil Studio-created materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Third-party names, trademarks, merchant logos, Google marks, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Use of a third-party name or logo in Subs Compiler does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation unless expressly stated.
19. Changes to the service
Manzil Studio may modify, improve, remove, or add features to Subs Compiler.
Changes may be necessary because of:
- security requirements;
- Google/Firebase/Gmail/Google Play policy changes;
- technical limitations;
- legal requirements;
- product improvements.
Where a change materially affects paid subscription terms, billing, or user-data practices, applicable notices and platform requirements will be followed.
20. Suspension or termination
Manzil Studio may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:
- fraud or suspected fraud;
- abuse or security attacks;
- repeated violation of these Terms;
- unlawful activity;
- attempts to bypass plan/payment/security controls;
- requirements imposed by Google or other service providers;
- legal obligations.
Where practical and appropriate, users may be given an opportunity to resolve an issue.
21. Availability and warranties
Subs Compiler is provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law.
Manzil Studio does not guarantee that:
- the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free;
- every subscription or recurring payment will be detected;
- every merchant logo, exchange rate, reminder, notification, or Auto Scan will always be available;
- third-party APIs or services will remain unchanged.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
22. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Manzil Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising solely from use of or inability to use Subs Compiler.
This includes losses caused by missed, inaccurate, or delayed subscription information where the user could verify the underlying merchant, bank, card, or Google Play record.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
23. Changes to these Terms
Manzil Studio may update these Terms when the service, law, or platform requirements change.
The current Terms will be published on the Subs Compiler public legal page with a new "Last updated" date.
Continued use after an effective update may constitute acceptance where permitted by law. Where affirmative consent is legally or platform-required, it will be requested.
